Police have named a biker who died following a three-vehicle collision in Perthshire.

David Lohoar, 56, of Kennoway, Fife, died from his injuries after his motorbike was involved in a collision with two cars on the A93 road at Guildtown around 2.45pm on Thursday.

A police spokesperson said: “Police Scotland confirms that the male involved in the road traffic collision on October 26 at  the A93 near Guildtown, has been named as  56-year-old David Lohoar, of Kennoway, Fife.”

Emergency crews had rushed to the scene with police closing the road for more than four hours.

A local resident had said the accident had taken place on a “terrible bit of road.”

Mr Lohoar, a father-of-four and a grandad, was involved with the YesBiker movement, and friends have been posting tributes to him on social media.

A statement from YesBikers for Scottish Independence said: “Dave was with us on many rides including Sunday in Dundee doing what he loved, being a biker and supporting Scottish independence.

“Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

“Dave spent so much time riding / driving with us, words cannot say what a loss he will be to our group.

“Ride free Dave, YesBiker and friend. Saor Alba brother.”
