Perth’s South Inch car park has been partially closed off to accommodate a film crew.
Staff on site remained tight-lipped about the nature of filming, but it’s understood that it is for hit US TV series Outlander.
A similar large film unit was recently spotted in rural Perthshire.
More than a dozen mobile homes provided by a film location company appeared on Tuesday on a farm on the Stanley to Blairgowrie road near to Ballathie.
Outlander has recently been filming near Crieff, with the town’s Market Park used as a base for the film crew.
Perthshire has previously featured in the Starz show, with the grounds of Drummond Castle, Rannoch moor and the interior of Tibbermore Church used as locations in the first series.
Other Courier Country locations to have featured in the show include Aberdour and Balgonie castles, Falkland, Culross and Dysart Harbour.
The show is currently filming its fourth series.
