Emergency services were scrambled to a crash on the A9 on Friday afternoon.
Two cars collided on the busy trunk road, near Auchterarder, at around 2.20pm on Friday. It is understood one of the vehicles hit the central reservation.
One driver sustained minor injuries and was checked by an ambulance crew at the scene but did not require hospital treatment.
A second “serious” crash has since closed the A9 near Killiecrankie.
Initially the northbound carriageway was completely closed, while the southbound route was reduced to one lane.
One northbound lane was reopened later, and the road was cleared and re-opened by 4.30pm.
** UPDATE **
The #A9 northbound is now open in lane one of two at Auchterarder following the earlier road traffic incident.
Southbound traffic still restricted to lane one of two #TakeCare @NETrunkRoads
