A multi-car collision caused delays on the A9 near Tibbermore.
At least three vehicles were involved in the smash, which happened beside Windyedge Cottage just before 3pm on Wednesday.
It is understood nobody was seriously hurt.
Police Scotland arranged for the carriageway to be cleared, while Traffic Scotland put restrictions in place on the northbound route between Broxden and Cairnie Brae.
The road was fully re-opened by 4.30pm.
