More than 1,000 Santas of all ages took to the streets of Perth on Saturday for the city’s annual Santa Run.
After musical entertainment and a rousing warm-up, the runners were led to the start line by Perth and District Pipe Band.
Then, after a count of five, they were released from between the smaller of two inflatable Santas and the Rotary Centenary Clock to begin the 5km fun run.
The route took the adults, children and a fair few four-legged friends through the streets of Perth to a finish at the North Inch.
The participants were welcomed to the city by Provost Dennis Melloy who said: “This truly shows that Perth is the Christmas City of Scotland.
“It is absolutely fantastic to see so many runners here. I am told we have 1070 Santas of all ages taking part.
“If it were not for Perth’s Christmas pantomime I would have made it 1071.
