A lifelong St Johnstone fan is putting a unique strip signed by Tayside rivals Dundee up for auction.
Ian Munro, 71, won the military themed top through a raffle with 2 Close support battalion, The Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) in Leuchars.
And the former serviceman has revealed he is offering the strip to the highest bidder to raise funds for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.
The season ticket holder at McDiarmid Park revealed he is used to banter with Dundee fans in Perth and admitted he was surprised when told he had won the top, which is signed by the first team squad of the Dark Blues.
“I’ve got strong ties to the armed forces having served with the Royal Corps of Transport and been in the Territorial Army so I felt I should support the SSAFA,” he said.
“It’s great the money raised from the auction of the Dundee top will go to SSAFA.”
He continued: “There is rivalry between Dundee and Saints fans will call them for everything during a game but I’ve drunk with Dundee fans in pubs after the match and it’s been fine.
“I’ve been a lifelong Saints fan so it was a surprise to win the Dundee top.”
The Dundee top is the club’s third kit and has a camouflage design on the shoulders along with the famous Red Hackle above the DFC club crest.
Dundee FC donated 10% of sales of the military themed strip to SSAFA.
