Rural road closed because of “abandoned vehicles”

Heavy snowfall and hazardous driving conditions have forced motorists to abandoned their vehicles on a remote Highland Perthshire route.

The U-173 Amulree to Kenmore was shut between the Garrow’s and Tombuie Cottage just after 2.30pm on Tuesday.

A Perth and Kinross Council spokesman said: “The road has been closed until further notice due to snow and ice and abandoned cars.”
