Police Scotland is treating the discovery of a man’s body in Perthshire as “unexplained”.
The identity of the man who was found in a wood in Callander has yet to be established and inquiries are continuing.
A police spokesperson said : “Police in Forth Valley were called to a wooded area near Keltie Bridge Caravan Park in Callander around 5.10pm on Wednesday January 24 following the discovery of a man’s body.
“The man’s identity is yet to be formally established, however officers are currently following a line of inquiry.
“His death is being treated as unexplained pending further enquiries and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
Local people spoke of considerable police activity in the area of the woods as a result of the grim find.
