Scotland are going into the 2018 Six Nations with the hopes of the country on their shoulders.
And the pressure on the boys in blue has risen even higher after a Perthshire fish and chip shop pledged to give away free portions to everyone – should Scotland win the championship.
Award-winning The Real Food Cafe in Tyndrum is getting behind Gregor Townsend’s men by offering to give away one free box of chips per person in the event of Scotland winning the overall Six Nations trophy.
The tournament kicks off tomorrow when Scotland face Wales in Cardiff.
If the dreams of Scottish rugby fans come true, the offer will be available on Sunday, March 18 between 11am and 8pm. Customers will only have to quote “#AsOne Team Scotland” at the till.
Scotland last won the competition in 1999 when it was still the Five Nations.
Alan McColm – who co-owns the cafe with Sarah Heward – said: “Sarah and I are very community-focused and also big rugby fans.
“After playing or watching a game of rugby there’s nothing quite like warming up with some great fish and chips, so we thought what better way to celebrate Scotland winning than to share our chips with the nation.”
