Two vans collided on one of Scotland’s most deadly roads on Thursday afternoon.
It is understood that one vehicle was broken down and was struck by the other.
The incident happened on the southbound A9 near Blackford at 3.36pm.
Emergency services were called to the scene but there were no apparent injuries and the road remained open.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “We were called to a two-vehicle RTC on the southbound A9 near Blackford.
“It appears that one vehicle was broken down and has been hit by another van.
“There doesn’t appear to be any injuries.”
