Police have warned motorists not to drive due to the ‘beast from the east’ Siberian weather taking hold.
Snowfalls on Tuesday night and more this morning have made driving conditions difficult.
Police Scotland have issued a statement urging motorists not to take to the roads as the severe weather conditions are set to worsen.
The A90 Dundee to Aberdeen road saw an accident around 8.10am on the southbound carriageway near Forfar. And an accident took place at the same time nearby on the A926 Forfar to Tannadice road.
The southbound carriageway is expected to be closed for around an hour.
In addition, the Forth Road Bridge is closed to traffic due to snow clearing taking place.
