Snow drifts close roads across Perth and Kinross

Strong winds and more snowfall has caused severe drifts throughout the night, Perth and Kinross Council reports.

“All nightshift crews worked through trying to keep main routes open,” said a council spokesperson.

“Winter maintenance crews carrying on since 5am. Several self-help farmers also out working.”

Bins were not picked up as council crews were redeployed to clear pavements and paths.

Roads across the district remained closed and Errol was effectively cut off with drifting snow.
