Perth Farmers’ Market went ahead despite the difficulties facing many of the traders in getting there.
Normally more than 40 stalls are normally set up but 10 of the regulars still made it through.
“It is as normal as it can be – we made the decision on Thursday not to set the stalls out but people who can trade from their vehicles were welcome,” said market manager Adeline Watson.
Traders came from as far away as Alloa and Arbroath and the customers responded by turning out in force.
Stewart Berry of Puddledub Farm, Auchtertool, was among those to make it and he said he was “determined” to come to Perth as he had never missed a farmers’ market in the city yet.
