A broken down lorry at the Inveralmond roundabout, Perth, caused considerable tailbacks for people attempting to exit the industrial estate.
The incident was reported shortly before 3.30pm and was cleared soon after 4pm but still caused lengthy delays.
“It was absolute chaos all around,” said one man caught up in the incident.
“Been stationary for the last 25 minutes within Inveralmond industrial estate along with hundreds of others.”
The incident was exacerbated by the current closure of Ruthvenfield Road due to construction of a roundabout, meaning there is currently only one exit from the estate for traffic.
At 4pm Traffic Scotland reported that the lane was now clear and traffic congestion should ease.
