Police hunting for a missing Perth man have recovered a body.
Colin MacDonald vanished six days ago, sparking a major search operation.
A helicopter was scrambled to the Kinnoull Hill area of the city, while officers carried out enquiries on the ground.
CCTV images released on Friday showed the 48-year-old walking on High Street and Queen’s Bridge, just before 2pm on Monday, April 23.
Chief Inspector Ian Scott, local area commander for Perth, confirmed on Monday morning that a man’s body had been discovered and that Mr MacDonald’s family had been informed.
He said: “A body was found over the weekend, formal identification is still to be carried out, however Colin’s family have been informed of the recovery.”
