There are no plans to bring T in the Park back to Perth and Kinross, it has been revealed.
The popular music festival was last held in the grounds of Strathallan Castle near Auchterarder in 2016, but Geoff Ellis, the supremo behind promoters DF Concerts, has stated there are no firm plans in place to stage another camping festival in future years.
“We’ve no plans to do another camping festival next year or for the forseeable future,” he said.
“I’m never going to say we’re never going to do one again but we have nothing to say about another camping event just now.
“Camping festivals are wonderful – they’re great. We just don’t have any plans for one at the moment.”
DF Concerts have been concentrating their efforts in promoting the TRNSMT event, which will take place for the second year running this summer on Glasgow Green.
T in the Park was forced to move from its previous home in Balado, Kinross-shire, in 2015 due to concerns over an undergound oil pipeline.
