Three people have been flown to hospital with serious injuries following a crash on the A9 in Perthshire.
The route was closed between Calvine and House of Bruar for more than two hours following the two-car accident. It was partially re-opened after 3pm and then fully opened at 3.38pm.
The crash happened at around 12.50pm and left three people injured.
Two air ambulances were called to the scene, taking the three involved to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
The injuries sustained are serious but not life-threatening.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We are currently attending a two-car road traffic collision on the A9 north of Pitlochry, between Calvine and House Of Bruar.
“At the moment we have three people taken to Ninewells by air with serious but not life-threatening injuries.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 12.30pm today to attend a road traffic collision on the A9 near Blair Atholl.
“We dispatched our special operations team, three ambulances, two managers and two helicopters to the scene.”
Motorists were advised to take an alternative route at Dalnacardoch.
A statement from Traffic Scotland said: “The A9 in both directions between Calvine and House of Bruar is currently closed due to a road traffic incident.”
