A dog has been rescued by firefighters after plunging more than 80ft at a Perthshire beauty spot.
The pet’s distraught owner raised the alarm just after 11am on Saturday, after their dog went over the edge at Falls of Bruar, near Blair Atholl.
The local fire crew was scrambled to the scene, along with a specialist line rescue team from Lochgelly.
The area around the falls was cordoned off while the dog was rescued.
It is understood the dog fell onto land, not into the water.
Once rescued, he was checked over at the scene by a vet. A fire service spokesman said the dog was not been badly hurt and the area, a popular dog walking trail, has re-opened.
