An 80-year-old man has died following a road crash in Perthshire.
Pensioner Andrew Bett suffered fatal injuries when the car he was travelling in collided with a tree on the B996 Bein Inn to Glenfarg Road.
The accident happened just after 4.20pm on Friday.
Mr Bett, who stays at Glenfarg, was treated at the scene by paramedics before he was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital.
The road was closed off for several hours while investigators tried to establish what happened.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Our thoughts are with his family and friends who are understandably upset by their sudden loss and have said that he will be greatly missed.
“They do not wish to make any further comments and have requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.”
A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
