Police searching for a missing Perthshire man say they have a confirmed sighting of the 42 year-old.
A member of the public provided officers with CCTV footage, which has been confirmed as showing Martyn Cruickshank walking southwards in Macrosty Gardens, Crieff, at about 8am on Tuesday. This has also confirmed that Martyn was last seen wearing a red Helly Hansen ski jacket, a dark hooded top, and blue jeans.
Martyn has been missing since Monday.
A police spokesman said: “We are still conducting an extensive search of the area, and a number of dedicated officers, specialist search units, mountain rescue, search dogs, and air support are systematically searching the area looking for him.
“We would also like to again thank the numerous members of the public who are assisting us in doing so, and are participating in organised searches.
“Again, we would like to ask anyone in the Crieff, Comrie and adjoining rural areas who has a shed, garage or outbuilding to check it in case Martyn has sought refuge within. Also, if anyone in these areas has private CCTV, please check this, or let us know you have it.”
Anyone who has seen Martyn or has any other information is asked to call 101 or speak to any police officer.
