Police Scotland have confirmed the body of a man has been found during the search for missing person Martyn Cruickshank from Crieff.
The 42-year-old was reported missing on Monday and extensive searches have been ongoing in the Crieff, Comrie and other rural areas.
His family has been informed and formal identification is yet to take place.
Inspector Ged Fitzpatrick said: “Our thoughts are with Martyn’s family at what will be an extremely sad and difficult time.
“At this point I would like to thank the members of the public who have assisted with our searches and to all those who have shared our appeals for information.
“Missing person enquiries can be complex and the support we get from the public is always appreciated.”
The body was discovered in the Crieff area.
