A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal fire in Perth city centre.
Emergency services were called to the incident at St Catherine’s Square in Perth on Sunday at about 9.50pm.
A man was removed from the property and treated by paramedics, but sadly died following the blaze.
On Monday afternoon police confirmed that a 36-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident.
However investigations are “continuing”.
A statement from the force read: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 36-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fire at St Catherine’s Square in Perth yesterday. Inquiries are continuing.”
