Police Scotland say there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in Perth on Friday night.
Officers were called to a property in the North Muirton area of the city at around 9.30pm following a report of concern for a woman.
A 29-year-old woman was taken to Perth Royal Infirmary but sadly died later that evening.
An inquiry was carried out by police in the area following the woman’s death, but police have now been able to rule out any foul play.
Detective Chief Inspector Suzanne Smith said: “We have been carrying out an investigation into the woman’s death and we are fully satisfied that there are no suspicious circumstances.
“As with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
“I would like to thank the local community for their patience and understanding whilst officers carried out the investigation.
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman at this sad time.”
