Police are hunting would-be thieves who smashed their way into a village shop.
Raiders targeted GC Store, Balbeggie, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
They smashed a window on the front door to get inside, but fled empty-handed when they were disturbed.
The outlet, on the A94 Perth to Coupar Angus road, has been taped off by police.
