A woman has died in a single-car accident in Glenshee.
The 64-year-old driver was the only person in the Kia Sorento when it came off the B951 Cray to Brewlands Bridge road, near Lair, at 12.30 on Sunday morning.
The woman, who died at the scene, has not yet been named but police said she was from Midlothian and her family have been informed.
A spokesperson said: “The sole occupant, a female driver aged 64 who was from the Midlothian area, sadly died at the scene.
“Next of kin have been made aware.
“Crash investigators were in attendance and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. ”
Anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information is asked to call police on 101.
Police also asked for the public’s help in tracing a four-month-old puppy that went missing after the accident.
The black Labrador answers to the name “Blu”.
