A Perth Street has been locked down by police after a serious incident.
Officers in riot gear were scrambled to Crieff Road just before 5pm on Sunday.
Police said a man was attacked at flats in nearby Viewland Place. Investigators are also probing a connected incident at the nearby Polish Taste store.
Inspector Martin Pattie said: “I would like to thank members of the public for their co-operation and patience.
“This was a contained incident, there was no risk to the general public and investigations are continuing.”
He urged anyone with information to call police on 101 or freephone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
