Two people have been charged by police after a knife attack in Perth.
A 31-year-old man is recovering at Ninewells Hospital after the assault in the city’s Viewfield Place on Sunday afternoon.
Police Scotland have confirmed that a 39-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman have now been charged in connection with the incident. They are due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
A large police presence remained at Viewlands Place on Monday morning.
On Sunday night, part of Crieff Road was closed off while investigators probed a possibly connected incident at a Polish grocery store.
The victim’s condition is not known, although it is understood he suffered serious facial injuries.
