Police Scotland is appealing for information after a someone attempted to break into a building in Milnathort in broad daylight.
An attempted break-in to a property in the village’s Whyte Place happened between 2.30pm and 5pm on Friday, February 15, has been reported to the police.
An attempt was made to overcome the lock of the back door to the house, which fortunately held firm, and no entry was gained.
The property backs onto a large park which is popular with dog walkers, and as the incident took place in broad daylight, police say it is possible that someone may have been seen acting suspiciously.
A police spokesperson said: “We would also like to take this opportunity to remind local residents to make sure their keep there houses, garages and sheds secure at all times.
“If you have any information that could assist our investigation, please call 101 or speak with any police officer.
“Also, information can be given anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is CR/4105/19.”
