Police are hunting thieves who forced their way into a Perthshire sports shop and made off with more than £20,000 worth of high value mountain bikes.
Three hooded men broke into the store at Comrie Croft Hostel, just outside Crieff, sometime between 12.10am and 12.40am on Thursday.
Investigators believe the six stolen bikes could be sold on.
The cycles are described as a Saracen Ariel, Kona Process, Kona Operator, Orange Stage 5, Organge Clockwork and a Merida E-160.
A statement on Comrie Croft Cycles’ Facebook page said: “After a great half term and a fantastic time at ice bike, we had a bit of a blow dealt to us last night.
“We have unfortunately been the victims of theft and were broken into by a gang of bike thieves who have taken six high end bikes and looted our shop and till.
“For such a small business this is obviously a big blow to us but will try our best to continue under the circumstances this weekend.”
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting case reference CR/4618/19.
