Staff at a Perth psychiatric hospital had to usher patients to safety after a fire broke out in one of the wards overnight.
Fire crews were called to Murray Royal Hospital at around 4.20am.
However they found that the fire, which was in the Moredun residential ward, had been extinguished before their arrival.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said staff had moved patients to elsewhere in the complex.
He said: “We were called to Murray Royal Hospital at 4.20am as there was a small fire on the Moredun ward. It was extinguished before the arrival of the fire service.
“The patients had been removed from the affected area.”
