Kinross-shire athlete Laura Muir celebrated her gold medal success at the European Indoor Championships with a chipper.
The runner, who won the 1,500m and 3,000m at the event, enjoyed a deep-fried treat washed down with Irn-Bru at a Blue Lagoon chip shop in Glasgow city centre.
She hotfooted it to the takeaway from the Emirates Arena where she had just become the first athlete to defend two titles in the 49-year history of the championships.
Muir, 25, who was joined by fellow athletes including Eilidh Doyle, from Perth, and Zoey Clark from Aberdeen, posted a photo of them outside the chip shop and told her Twitter followers: “Celebrating in style.
“THE DOUBLE DOUBLE!! Thanks so much again for all your support.”
Fans backed the star’s fast food choice.

Robin Hall said: “I do not feel so bad now if champion athletes also have the odd fish supper.”
Suzanne Shaw added: “Love this – The Blue Lagoon! A Glasgow institution. Can’t beat a chippy and an Irn Bru after a hard sesh – be it in the pub or on the Emirates track.”
Muir had earlier told how she was looking forward to some takeaway food and some well-deserved time off following her triumph.
She said: “I think I’m getting tomorrow off. But I wouldn’t be surprised if I was back here on Wednesday or Thursday this week, then I’m getting a break at some stage in March.
“I’ve not seen my family very much. I’ve literally only seen them when I’ve been on TV – about a minute’s worth over the whole weekend.
“But they know I need to focus completely and zone everything out. Hopefully I see them later – and maybe get a chippy or something.”
Animal lover Muir, from Milnathort, qualified as a vet last year after passing her final exams at Glasgow university.
She has said she would like to do some work for animal charities in Glasgow in between training for the World Championships in Doha this September.
