Police are investigating after a front bumper was stolen from a car in a Perthshire town.
Police say the grey Vauxhall Astra was targeted on Crieff’s Anthony Place between 10pm and 10.45pm on Saturday.
The vehicle had its front light clusters stolen along with the front bumper.
A window was also smashed in what officers believe was an attempt to pop the car’s bonnet, making the crime easier to commit.
The force described the incident as “an unusual theft”, adding the parts may have been “stolen to order” or put up for sale by the culprit.
A Tayside Police Division statement reads: “This has happened in an off-street cul-de-sac, so it is unlikely that the theft has been directly witnessed, but given the very specific nature of the theft, these parts may have been “stolen to order” by the thief or offered for sale.
