A “sinkhole” has appeared in Perth, motorists have been warned.
The hazard in Alexandra Street was highlighted by Perth and Kinross Council on Monday morning.
A spokesman said there was a “likelihood of danger to the public due to a carriageway sinkhole and washout”.
The road has been closed to traffic from its junction at Leonard Street and Caledonian Road.
Access for emergency services will be retained.

UPDATE: The sinkhole appears to have been filled in and safety checks are being carried out.
