A motorcycle rider has been airlifted to hospital following an accident on the A9.
The A9 was completely closed near Aberuthven on Sunday evening following the accident on the northbound carriageway involving one car and the motorcycle.
The air ambulance was called to the scene and rushed the biker, who has potentially serious injuries, to hospital for treatment.
Police were alerted to the accident shortly before 9pm on Sunday.

Both the northbound and southbound carriageway were closed.

The southbound carriageway has since reopened.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said the incident involved one car and motorcycle.
Police and ambulance were still on the scene late into the night.
It it believed that one only casualty has been taken to hospital.
The accident has caused long tailbacks, but local diversions have been put in place.
Traffic is being diverted via the A824 through Auchterarder and police are urging drivers to try to avoid the area.
The southbound carriageway was reopened at around 10.15pm.
However, the northbound stretch remains closed.
