A street in Perth city centre was closed on Wednesday evening as emergency services attended an incident.
Princes Street between Marshall Place and South William Street was shut down for over an hour with police, fire engines and the ambulance service all rushing to the scene.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said that the road was closed due to a person on the railway line but that the person is now safe.
Officers were first alerted to the incident around 7pm and left the scene after 8pm.
A police spokesperson said: “Police were investigating a report of a female on the railway line but she is now safe.”
