The future of two outdoor leisure centres in Perthshire are in doubt after control of the facilities was handed back to Perth and Kinross Council.
Kinloch Rannoch Outdoor Centre and Blackwater near Blairgowrie have both been run by Live Active Leisure for the previous three years but the organisation has now returned control of the facilities to the council.
A spokesperson for the council said they would “honour” the pre-existing bookings at the outdoor facilities but did not know what would happen to the centres beyond the summer.
Live Active Leisure are withdrawing from the management the council owned buildings due to “an annual budget setting process with Perth and Kinross Council.”
More to follow.
