The M90 has been closed northbound following a “serious” crash near Kelty.
The incident happened on the northbound carriageway shortly after 7am.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said one vehicle was involved and its believed that there are two casualties.
He said: “We were called to a serious incident on the northbound the M90 near junction 4 at 7.07am.
“One vehicle is involved.”

There is no indication as to whether the weather was a factor in the crash.
An eyewitness said the car had come to rest in trees at the side of the road.
She said: “The car was facing the wrong way and was hard up against a tree. The passenger door was open and there were a number of other drivers who had stopped to help.”
Further north, on the A90 a motorist crashed near Glendoick.
A Police Scotland spokesman said the poor conditions has played a part in the incident.
He said: “We were called at 5.50am to a one-car incident at Glendoick which was weather related.
“The driver was out of the car and uninjured.”
