Police are on the hunt for a con woman who tricked an elderly man before stealing cash from his home.
Police say a woman posing as a carer gained entry to the home of an 87-year-old man in Hunters Crescent, Invergowrie, between 5.30 and 6am on Tuesday.
The woman pretended to be carrying out household tasks but instead stole cash and medication along with other items before leaving a short time later.
The con was discovered when his genuine daily carers arrived later in the morning.
She is described as white, aged 25-40 with long blonde hair. She was wearing a white and black checked jacket or blazer, white T-shirt and light blue jeans.
She is thought to have been driving a silver or grey Vauxhall Corsa which has been seen on local CCTV.
Anyone with information is asked to phone 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
