A crash caused major tailbacks on one of Tayside’s busiest roads on Wednesday evening.
Traffic was said to be at a “standstill” following the rush hour incident on the A90 Perth to Dundee road, which took place near the Swallow Roundabout.
A dark coloured Audi crashed off the route at about 6pm.
Congestion was reportedly backed up as far as Longforgan with both lanes affected.
Police and paramedics were said to be at the scene but the occupants of the vehicle are understood to have escaped serious injury.
The extensively damaged car was recovered from the scene soon after.
