A missing Dundee man’s car has been found outside a psychiatric hospital in Perth.
James Cadger disappeared from his home in Stobswell at about 7.15am on Thursday.
Police Scotland have now confirmed that Mr Cadger’s red Peugeot – registration HT1 5BZY – was traced near Murray Royal Hospital later that morning.
A force spokesman said: “Efforts to locate him are currently focusing on the Perth area.
“We would like to ask anyone in the area, particularly anyone who has been in the area of Murray Royal, Bridgend, Gannochy or Kinnoull since yesterday morning – runners, dog walkers etc – to contact us if they think they may have seen him in the area, or saw his car on the move.
“We would also like anyone else with any information that they think could assist our efforts to find him to get in touch.”
Mr Cadger is described as 6ft 1in, with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a grey T-shirt, blue jeans and a waterproof jacket with a red lining on the inside.
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, quoting reference number 0654 on June 27.
