A driver was caught behind the wheel of a vehicle with a blown-out tyre, three further “defective” ones and no insurance.
Tayside Police Division say a man has been charged following the incident on the A977 Kinross to Kincardine road between Drum and Crook Of Devon.
He was pulled over by Perth-based road policing officers on Tuesday, July 23 between 5pm and 5.30pm.
They said the smell of rubber alerted them to the incident.
The vehicle was seized by police following the incident.
A statement from Road Policing Scotland reads: “Perth RP (road policing) stopped a vehicle today on the A977 as there was a strong smell of rubber coming from the vehicle in front.
“Turns out the driver thought it was okay to drive with three defective tyres including one totally blown out. Also, no insurance therefore the vehicle seized.”
