Perth and Kinross Council has issued an emergency road closure on the outskirts of Perth due to a collapsed carriageway which could cause a danger to the public.
The local authority has prohibited traffic on the U45 at East Huntingtower from its junction with the A85 Main Road to the junction of Tarry Row due to a carriageway slump caused by a collapsed drainage chamber.
A council spokesperson said: “Perth and Kinross Council as traffic authority being satisfied that there is a likelihood of danger to the public due to a carriageway slump caused by a collapsed drainage chamber hereby prohibit all vehicular traffic on the length of carriageway. ”
