Aberfeldy Show braved the weather on Saturday and managed a full programme of events in spite of Friday's heavy rain that saw many other games called off across Perth and Kinross.
The show was forced to reschedule their horse and pony classes from Friday to Sunday but due to another heavy downpour on Saturday evening organisers were forced to cancel the event altogether.
Morag Kennedy, secretary for the Aberfeldy Show, said there was a great atmosphere as the games went ahead at Victoria Park in the Perthshire town.
Morag said: "It was a brave decision but it went very well.
"Our gate takings were down a little but a lesser gate is better than no gate at all.
"There was great spirit and great atmosphere in the showgrounds.
"The crafts people in the tents said that they weren't really affected with their takings at all.
"All in all it was a great day.
"We had lots of support. Lots of people turning up and wishing us well and lots of people thanking us for going ahead."
The show had originally planned to hold their horse and pony classes on Friday but decided to reschedule the event to Sunday to try and save the grass for Saturday's main event.
However, despite the rain staying away for the majority of the day while the show was on, a late downpour meant that Sunday's rescheduled event also had to be called off.
Morag said: "Just as the auction of the flowers was over the rain started coming down.
"I've never seen rain like it."
As well as the horse and pony classes being cancelled the rain also saw the Young Farmer's ceilidh called off.
The Aberfeldy Show is now considering if the horse and ponies can be rescheduled for some date in September and, if so, anyone that was entered into this weekend's event will be notified.
Heavy rain across the local authority over the last week saw Perth Highland Games, set for Sunday, called off and the Kinross Show also cancelled their event.
Crieff Beer and Gin Festival also cancelled their Saturday get-together over health and safety fears caused by the bad weather.
