Firefighters have spent almost an hour tackling a fire in a Carse of Gowrie village.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to an outbuilding on Main Street in Inchture not long after 11.30am today.
A summerhouse and outbuilding had been on fire at a cottage on the busy thoroughfare.
The service, who are still there, sent two engines and have been using a jet hose to extinguish the flames.
Speaking just after 12.30pm, A fire service spokesperson said: “SFRS were called to an outbuilding at a cottage on Main Street, Inchture, at 11.41am.
“Two appliances are on the scene using a jet hose. We’re still there.”
By 1.20pm, firefighters were dampening down the site but the flames had been put out. It is understood that nobody was injured.
The fire engines travelled from Dundee’s McAlpine Road station and were joined by police.
Officers were been called to the incident with part of Main Street closed to allow firefighters to deal with the incident.
Buses have been struggling to enter the village due to the blaze and the road remains shut.
