One person was taken to hospital following a three-vehicle smash on a busy Tayside commuter route.
The accident happened just before 6.30am on Monday, on the A90 between Inchture and Longforgan.
Two cars were involved in a collision with a lorry, Police Scotland said.
“Police Scotland attended a reported road traffic collision on the A90 near Inchture about 6:30 this morning.” a spokesman said. “Two cars and an HGV were involved and the northbound carriageway was blocked for a short time.
“One person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the road has been fully reopened.”
Traffic Scotland said northbound traffic was “restricted” and urged drivers to approach with caution.
By 7.30am, with the stricken vehicles still awaiting uplift, traffic had backed up to the Inchture slip road and had slowed to a crawl, taking around 30 minutes to get past the accident site.
The accident involved a Renault Megane, which ended up against the central reservation, facing the wrong direction, and a Volkswagen Passat, which had been moved to the verge on the opposite side of the road to allow the inside lane to re-open.
Police vehicles were stationed on the outside lane.
