A top Perthshire hotel has gone up for sale with a price tag of £1.6million.
The four-star East Haugh House near Pitlochry, which dates back to the 17th century, has been put on the market as its owners eye retirement.
The boutique hotel is owned and run by Neil and Lesley McGown, who converted the turreted stone house building in 1989.
East Haugh House includes an award-winning restaurant which features in the Michelin Guide, a separate bar and a lounge area for residents.
It has 12 unique bedrooms, including the Red Drummond Suite – which comes with an adjoining movie room.
East Haugh is set in an acre of land and is located not far from the A9 Perth to Inverness road.
On the grounds of the property is a detached four-bedroom home which is described as owners’ accommodation.
The hotel has been put on the market via specialist property adviser Christie and Co.

“The hotel has been extremely profitable for the current owners and there is no reason that an experienced operator would not be able to enjoy similar levels of business, given the excellent standard of accommodation and service provided.”
The hotel was originally part of the historic Atholl Estate.
Earlier this year it was named one of the best resorts of its kind at the Prestige Hotels Awards after winning the best site with under 50 rooms category.
In 2018 it was named hotel of the year at the ceremony.
Traditionally East Haugh House has been a popular location with both hunting parties and anglers.
The hotel was hit by major flooding in 2002 after a blocked culvert in a nearby burn caused it to overflow. It reopened in October 2003.
The freehold interest for East Haugh House Hotel is on the market at o/o £1,600,000.
