A Perthshire fantasist has admitted telling a woman he was involved in a “secret military operation” while stalking her.
Nigel Hogg, from Crieff, admitted engaging in a course of conduct which caused the woman fear and alarm over the course of several months.
The 64-year-old tried numerous ways of contacting the woman, including putting letters into her handbag, leaving flowers in her garden and trying to learn details of her personal life.
Charges state he also “pretended to be engaged in a secret military operation”.
The offences took place at locations in Perth, Birnam and Dunkeld between April 18 and July 5.
Sentence was deferred for reports.
