Motorists in rural Perthshire face lengthy delays and detours from next week, as roadworks get under way between Eastertyre and Wester Logierait.
A convoy system and 10mph limit will be introduced on the A827 stretch from Monday. Work will be carried out between 7.30am and 4.30pm on weekdays, but temporary traffic lights will be kept in place at night and over the weekend.
A second phase of resurfacing will start on September 23. The road will be shut each day from 8pm to 6am for about a week. Traffic will be redirected via the A827 to Ballinluig, A9 to A822, A826 to Aberfeldy and back on to the A827.
Access will be maintained for emergency services at all times.
