A new BBC Scotland television show for book lovers will be filmed at a Perthshire venue later this month.
Two episodes of the BBC’s upcoming The Big Scottish Book Club programme, featuring Scottish author Damian Barr, will be filmed at the Inchyra Arts Club, Carse of Gowrie, on September 24.
The show is looking for audience members for the recording, which will take place at 3pm and 7pm at the Perthshire music venue.
The programme will see Barr in conversation with writers such as Ian Rankin, Graham Norton, Marian Keyes, Patrick Gale and Sara Collins.
Half of the four-part series will be shot at Inchyra with the other two episodes recorded in Helensburgh.
Earlier this year the series’ creators IWC put out a call for local book clubs to get in contact so they could appear on segments throughout the show.
A spokesperson for IWC said: “We had an amazing response from book groups in Perth and Dundee.
“Registration is now open for anyone that might like to come along and watch the recording.
“We’ve an afternoon recording starting at 3pm and an evening one at 7pm, and we’d love to have as many people along as we can. “
The format of the show is inspired by Mr Barr’s Literary Salon, at London’s Savoy Hotel.
Mr Barr said: “I’m delighted to host the Big Scottish Book Club and invite everyone to join our conversation – readers and writers across the country and the world.”
