A man is due to appear in court on Thursday, following a disturbance in a Perthshire village that prompted a major police response.
Armed officers, negotiators and dog handlers were scrambled to Dunning, on Wednesday night.
Residents reported two armed response vehicles, with officers in helmets and flak jackets and carrying assault rifles.
The operation was focused on a house in the village’s Perth Road.
Police were called to the scene just after 7pm and the situation was said to have been brought under control about three hours later.
A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed a 42-year-old man had been arrested and charged, and was due to appear in court.
